Facebook Dental Marketing: What Dentists Think (video)

Facebook dental marketing dentist survey videoFacebook dental marketing may be picking up steam, but many dentists still don’t know how to use social media for internet dental marketing.

In this survey, two out of three of dentists report having a Facebook business page, while only one-third do not.

“We are able to connect not only with our own patients, but also with their Facebook friends when they like or share one of our posts or videos,” said a Missouri dentist. “It helps us to get the word out.”

Check out Jim Du Molin and Julie Frey discussing the topic of social media marketing in this short video…

Friday Random Video: Hot Pockets Goes Viral

This week’s Friday random video features Hot Pockets.

No.  I’m not kidding.

It might seem over-the-top, over-done, and overly-long for a video commercial, but with well over 3 million views on YouTube, it would seem that Hot Pockets has a keen understanding of its demographic.

This latest YouTube viral video is the the brainchild of Los Angeles-based interactive agency Threshold Interactive.

It doesn’t hurt that they also hired YouTube comedy star Toby Tuner as their Hot Pockets infomercial spokesperson.  He has 1.8 million YouTube subscribers in his own right.

I have to admit that I actually spent the 3.17 minutes watching it … but then I’m highly motivated to see what works in online video marketing.

Here’s the video, what do you think?

I did show the video to my 17-year-old son, who laughed and said, “That’s cool. I’m going to post that on Facebook for my friends.”

Well, I guess Hot Pockets really does know what they are doing after all.

But my son is still getting a salad and braised chicken breast for dinner.
