A High-Tech Solution to the UK’s Dental Crisis
It’s notoriously difficult to find a dentist in Britain, as the UK’s National Health Service doesn’t have enough dentists to meet the dental needs of all citizens. So what’s a dentist to do?
Well, one London dentist has come up with a novel solution. He’s giving oral exams over the internet. Currently, patients go to a clinic to have the webcam exam, but Dr. Jerry Watson imagines a future where patients can be seen from their own homes.
“What we need for the future is cameras in electric toothbrushes,” says Dr. Watson. “That would be fantastic.”
