Dentists aren’t just clinicians; they’re also cosmetic dentistry patients. In this survey, we found over 2/3 of dentists say they’ve had teeth whitening, and over half have composite fillings. Others have had adult braces and dental implants.
“As the doctor, if you don’t have a nice smile, you won’t be able to convince many patients that you can produce a nice smile for them,” advised one.
“All dentists need to practice what they preach! I have seen so many dentists who themselves have horrible-looking smiles. How can they convince patients to do what they can’t or won’t do themselves?” asked another dentist.
