A Florida hacker recently broke into the records of over 300,000 dental patients. The information (which included Social Security numbers) was stored by the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
The pathology lab there analyzed and diagnosed tissue samples from patients across the country, so the school has had to notify all these patients that their personal information may have been compromised.
Fortunately, none of the information seems to have abused.
