Your survey is indicative of what is going on with dentures in general. Your survey only states a problem but proposes no solutions. My opinion is that too many dentists do not temper their patients expectations regarding dentures. In addition too many dentists have unrealistic expectations of the treatment. Dentists do not do dentures for basically 2 reasons. Either they take the time to do them well and do not charge enough or they cut corners to do them quickly and poorly. Both lead to lack of incentive and motivation to continue with the process. I view dentures as a cosmetic makeover and charge what I charge for 8 veneeers sinc that is how much work it takes to do them well. I get $12,000 routinely for a custom set. I still set the anterior teeth and have a technique to do them that guaranties Drop Dead Gorgeous results.
