Funniest Dental Patient Excuses (VIDEO)

Dentists offered up the funniest excuses they’ve heard from patients for missing appointments in response to a recent poll by dental practice marketing resource The Wealthy Dentist.

The clear winner was the toothache defense: “My tooth hurts too bad to get out of bed,” complained one patient.

  • In cases that involve at least 5 appointements, I have been thinking about offering patients a $25 credit if they don’t miss any appointments. What do you think?

  • John you’re completely right. Humans are fickle creatures and I find it weird that they miss their appointment, but have to waste MORE time explaining why, and rescheduling (plus going to that appt). We cannot put off the inevitable, but we sure can try!
