Dentists Are Not Allowed to Dump Medical Waste

A Pennsylvania dentist has been indicted for illegally dumping waste from his dental practice. Thomas McFarland, 59, has apparently admitted to dumping medical waste from his boat.

The debris (including 260 needles) washed ashore on New Jersey beaches. One beach had to be closed five times this past August.

  2. The story goes on to say that he (at least) went to the local police station a week later and admitted to the dumping. Makes you wonder though where this guy’s mind was at the time. I mean, doesn’t he have garbage or contaminated waste pickup at his practice? Multiply this instance a million times a day and you can see why Americans are literally living in a toxic wasteland. I can only imagine where his mercury amalgam extracts are going.
