How-To Videos Not Good for Dentistry, Insist Dentists
With the NHS leaving many patients without access to dental care, do-it-yourself dentistry has become a bit of a British tradition. (One tip: screwdrivers are not proper dental equipment!)
Beloved by DIY enthusiasts everywhere, YouTube offers countless how-to videos. Some of these address dental issues, a fact that’s gotten at least one UK dentist riled up.
“YouTube is full of home whitening advice videos, such as people showing how they brush hydrogen peroxide straight onto the teeth,” complains Dr. Prav Solanski. “These get a five-star rating but are irresponsible and dangerous.”

i am very worried cause my boyfriend brian james has a phobia about seeing a dentist. he is an auto mechanic and does body work on cars and is really good at what he does. but he insists on fixeing his own teeth.recently i saw him in his workshop after hours drilling one of his mollars with a small dremel moto tool, and then useing some industrial super glue to fill the hole with. when i saw what he was doing, he laughed and said dont worry if i can fix rust holes in peoples cars for a living then why cant i fix my teeth/ i dont think he is makeing safe decisions at all. please get back to me on this. i really love my boyfriend and i do not want to see him put his health at risk.
