The ADA is a Divisive Issue Among Dentists and Specialists (video)The not-for-profit American Dental Association is America’s largest dental organization, with over 157,000 member dentists.

But not all dentists feel like the ADA represents their interests.

In a The Wealth Dentist survey, we asked: Is the American Dental Association dominated by specialists who are trying to promote their own agendas and not necessarily the welfare of the general dentist?

One dentist declared, “The ADA has actually become the enemy of the general dentist!”

In this survey general dentists were 8 times more likely to criticize the ADA than were specialists.

“This is a ridiculous notion. The ADA is concerned with all of dentistry!” a periodontist responded.
