This week’s Friday random video features Hot Pockets.
No. I’m not kidding.
It might seem over-the-top, over-done, and overly-long for a video commercial, but with well over 3 million views on YouTube, it would seem that Hot Pockets has a keen understanding of its demographic.
This latest YouTube viral video is the the brainchild of Los Angeles-based interactive agency Threshold Interactive.
It doesn’t hurt that they also hired YouTube comedy star Toby Tuner as their Hot Pockets infomercial spokesperson. He has 1.8 million YouTube subscribers in his own right.
I have to admit that I actually spent the 3.17 minutes watching it … but then I’m highly motivated to see what works in online video marketing.

I did show the video to my 17-year-old son, who laughed and said, “That’s cool. I’m going to post that on Facebook for my friends.”
Well, I guess Hot Pockets really does know what they are doing after all.
But my son is still getting a salad and braised chicken breast for dinner.
