The videos feature Blendtec founder Tom Dickson demonstrating the Blendtec line of blenders blending (say that three times fast) crazy household items.
Besides the entertainment value of blending an iPad, Dickson is really doing a brilliant infomercial on the power and durability of his products without ever having to say it.

The Blendtec videos are a subtle product differentiation strategy. He’s inferring that his product is stronger than the competition by appearing on camera to demonstrate the pure strength of his blenders with over-the-top blending challenges.
Can you imagine all the kids telling their parents that they want a Blendtec blender after watching these videos?
The only problem is I’d have to lock the blender away from my teenage son and his friends. I can only imagine what they’d attempt to blend…
