Dentists & Hair Salons Should Pay to Play Music, Says Canada’s SOCAN

Turning on some music makes the waiting room a little more pleasant, but it’s got some in the music industry riled up. Canada’s SOCAN (a performing rights group for composers) went after dental offices last year, and now they’re targeting hair salons. Licensing fees start at $94 annually.
