Two out of three dentists think that there’s less demand for professional tooth whitening these days because of the many over-the-counter teeth whiteners available.
On the other hand, one dentist in six feels that home whitening has increased interest in laser teeth whitening and in-office teeth bleaching.
“Our in-office whitening business continues to increase, even in the face of a recession,” says one cosmetic dentist. “We find people would rather come for a whitening than a dental cleaning.”
