Physician assistants can do Botox and Dermal Fillers with 2 years degree. Some “Botox trainers” have no degree whatsoever. Dermatologists and Plastic surgeons are not tought in medical school how to do Botox and Fillers, they just take CE courses and do it; and they are defenitely against dentist doing Botox, since it is a great competition. Well, regulate the Botox training, ensure doctors are properly educated, trained, sertified and insured, to protectect the public; that is all that is required. How many dentists place implants without proper training, no one rases hell about it and this is irreversible procedure…oh, it is within the scope of dentistry. Makes no sence… You do not have to be a plastic surgeon to do injectables , know your anatomy, get well trained and you are adding a valuble service to people. Why OBGYN can do Botox? and Dentist can not?

as someone who trains all healthcare professionals in Botox and dermal filler therapy, I can tell you that general dentists are by far the easiest to train in these procedures and are excellent at achieving therapeutic and esthetic outcomes for their patients. In other countries around the world, dentists are the primary providers of these treatments. With now more than 30 states allowing dentists to provide Botox and dermal fillers, and the AGD now passing a resolution supporting this, it is time to integrate this into every dental practice.
