  1. Dollar for dollar, I still find the best ROI in dental marketing is achieved with SEO. So long as your dental website is designed for a high conversion ratio, you cannot beat online marketing for efficiency and returns.

    That said, don’t put all your eggs in one basket. In accord with their budget, dentists will want a holistic marketing plan and one that includes reinforcing the basics such as a well-positioned website, street signage, practice interior and curb appeal, internal marketing, recalls, evening care calls and improving staff’s phone (sales) skills.

    Some demographics benefit better than others from direct mailings, TV & radio ads, YellowPages (book) and community events. Experiment reasonably and network with colleagues in your area to find that sweet spot. You never know what you might find in a box of chocolates.
