What's on My Bookshelf This Week
The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency
by Alexander McCall Smith
This books begins a charming series set in Botswana, where life sometimes moves
a little slower. Our protagonist, the "only lady private detective in all of
Botswana," helps friends and strangers alike as she investigates mysteries both
large and small. Don't expect to be clinging to the edge of your seat, but
rather to be transported to another world where there is somehow much peace
amidst turmoil.
