Dental Stimulus Plan Now Declared Safe by FDA!
The FDA has declared that mercury in dental fillings does not pose a health risk
- and just when I was getting ready to suggest a "Cash for Amalgam" government
stimulus package for dentistry! It worked for "Clunkers," so why not Amalgam?!?

Survey: Dentists Not Eager To Accept State IOUs
Only 11% of dentists said they would accept a state IOU for dental care, found
this survey, while 36% said, "No way!" "I'd trust IOU's from my own patients who
have fallen on tough times before I'd trust the government (at any level),"

In Case of Swine Flu, UK Will Draft Dental Nurses
Should UK hospitals become overwhelmed with
H1N1 flu patients, an emergency plan calls for dental nurses to be drafted to help out
hospital staff. The dental nurses could offer assistance with
triage, providing information, and all the administrative tasks associated with
a major influenza outbreak.

Half of dentists are ready for the profession to unionize, according to this survey.
Feeling trapped by dental insurance and abandoned by the American Dental
Association, many dentists are ready for a dental union. (One dentist
